Why do people make it SO hard to be tolerant?

Okay, I'm a VERY tolerant person. I accept everyones opinions and let them say what they have to say all the time and what ever anger I have, I let it go. BUT, I don't think I can do that forever, the arrogance AND ignorance of some people are just, too much. So, since this is pretty much a rant so far, here's my actual question, what location (country, state, county etc.) do you find most accepting of your opinions and ideals?
