Comedy philosophy - what is and isn't funny?

there isnt a definite 'line'. when u are with someone and if u feel saying smthing might hurt them, then u just dont say it. nobody likes to be made fun of and very few take a joke made on themselves sportingly. and some jokes are funny to some and insulting or lame to some others. you just can't please everyone. this argument ur having is actually pointless, no offense. ur standing by ur joke, good enough... they dont like ur joke, ohh well... its their point of view.
